Ed! Although I have a weakness for Sterling Die-crushed kits, I wouldโ€™ve passed on that price as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Found a Sterling Chriscraft Buccaneer on EBay but $225 US plus shipping to the UK works out a bit expensive so will give it a miss๐Ÿ˜ญ

Right I have the Bucaneer. She is a smaller model. The one I have I did not build.

My first model boat as a kid was a Chris Craft Buccaneer, donโ€™t remember the make. Had a Cox .049 Baby Bee and I ran it thethered.

    Pressonregaguardless...

Close.. I had the old 1940's kit. Balsa was just drawn out as templates (and sloppy). I cut a lot of new frames and traced the rest. I am using my mind rather than the instructions. I want the entire cabin to lift off including the aft deck and railing. The plans I copied from the old one in the box. I brought to a copy shop and they passed through a big machine.. was risky as the paper was very crisp. Didn't eat it though. But they drew these plans back in the 40's and they are not true or symmetrical. I have to use my dividers a lot to make sure each side is balanced.

That is a beautiful classic boat.
If you go by the plans you might have a little trouble finding that
