Thanks for your well wishes, it's something I'm used to, get bronchitis every autumn but this year it's been harder to get rid of but getting better with each day.
Antibiotics finish tomorrow, and doctor hopes that should clear it, appointment next Tuesday to get confirmation.
So tomorrow I will enjoy my day with my son and daughter in law and of couse the grandchildren.
So happy Christmas to you all and it takes more than a case of pneumonia to stop me enjoying your company every day.👍
Cheers Colin.

Martin,

I’m pleased to report that Bill and Ben got back safely from delivering the presents and they are now drying out ready for some of Colin’s Jura tomorrow 😂🤣

Get well soon Colin, I don’t want them drunk in charge 🤪

Hi Graham,
I am surprised at Bill, out in all weathers, putting his life at risk.
Mind you I don't think he will come to any harm as his brother Ben is his elf-n-safety officer.

Those two guys are crazy, rowing in the rain in those temperatures without wet weather gear, they'll be risking pneumonia 😁 hope they get Xmas day off?

Colin, take care of yourself. The meds are more important. The booze will always be there for later. Mixing the two will only delay or screw you up, from experience.
This hobby has been and still is inspired by the older generations. And that I and many others thank you. No disrespect intended here.. but the truth speaks volumes.

Wishing you and any others with medical issues, a speedy recovery WE NEED YOU

Dry Xmas Doug. Yup I'm on antibiotics till boxing day, so saving my Jura for new year.
As it reacts with the drugs, I am recovering from chronic bronchitis and bronchial pneumonia, but it should be clear by next week. If not I'll stop the meds to have a dram or three for new year.
Cheers Colin.

Don’t you just love foul weather !
It’s snowing, things are iced up, the wind is gusting to 60 kph ( 40 mph ) and the weather folks are telling us to stay off the roads. Oh well…. I guess the only thing to do now is work on my boat.

I wonder if the power will stay on……. That would be bad.⚡

I also want to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. I have only been on this site for a short time and man...I am so glad I found all of you! This is a first class operation and has helped me so much. So Thank you all. I woke this morning to 5 degrees F and 6 inches of snow. First white Christmas here for a long time. I guess I will be stuck in the house working on the boat, real bummer......NOT!!! 😁😛 Thanks again, Dave

From here in the centre of Europe I would like to wish everybody a Very Happy Christmas, or the equivalent in any other faith, and A Very Happy New Year. I promise that I will finish Dusseldorf in 2023 and that I will start to read instructions. Ok. Ok. Better add the words ‘try to’ in there somewhere.😬😬
I cannot promise to finish one project before starting another. I know, I tried.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year from the bottom of the world (almost, think Steve in Aust beats me for latitude😁) to everyone on the site, and a special thanks to Stephen for all his work in keeping the site running for all of us to enjoy and share our knowledge.
Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable time over the hols.

I'll have to put off Xmas dinner for a few days unfortunately due to still having Chinflu, but them's the breaks.

All the best

Merry Christmas everyone from our family to yours. May the Lord give you Peace, Hope, Joy, Love and Health as you celebrate together this Christmas.

The Christmas Tree

Words: Carl August Peter Cornelius
Translated by H. N. Bate
Source: Anne Thaxter Eaton, ed., Welcome Christmas! A Garland Of Poems. New York: The Viking Press, 1955.

The holly's up, the house is all bright,
The tree is ready, the candles alight:
Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight!

The mother sings of our Lord's good grace
Whereby the Child who saved our race
Was born and adored in a lowly place,

Once more the shepherds, as she sings,
Bend low, and angels touch their strings:
With "Glory" they hail the King of kings.

The children listening round the tree
Can hear the heavenly minstrelsy,
The manger's marvel they can see,

Let every house be ready tonight —
The children gathered, the candles alight —
That music to hear, to see that sight.

A very Merry Christmas to all…. May Santa leave the boat build of your dreams.
May health, peace and a steady hand come to all in the New Year.
I am some what new to this site and hobby, you all have been excellent with guidance and a giggle along the way. I really appreciate your photos of various builds, truly inspiring to a novice. The fact of people posting errors and the what not to do’s ( linseed oil in your coffee ) makes it down to earth.

Merry Christmas from my lil neck of the woods
THANK YOU !

Well said my friend, truer words were never spoken, and quite strange in the fact we have friends who we have never met, and friends who we are unlikely to meet. To all my friends, colleagues, and critics. I wish you all a happy Christmas and very best wishes for The New Year. Regards, Gary.

I thoroughly Enjoy the Camaraderie on this Site!!
In addition to the Expertise and the willingness of others to share.
I have to spend a good deal of time on the computer, so I like to take breaks by checking up on the site😁

I certainly think we could do no worse🙄

Hi Guys,
I know I have not had my finger on the site pulse for a while due to various reasons including some personal problems.
I also agree with rick.

It is the members that make the site, And the way that members behave that make a good site or a great site.

I too would like to wish all members new and old a very merry Christmas.

Martin.

Rick, the saying a picture paints a thousand words.
But we only need a few like minded to say ,THANKS, WELL DONE, THATS GREAT, or other words of encouragement and we could overcome the worldly issues we face.
Thanks to all that have helped me over the years and to those that offer help.
Have a great Xmas and hopefully we'll see a better new year.
Cheers Colin and Caroline.

That's why I wish you a great Christmas, a happy new year and may, I hope, some order finally return to this sphere in 2023. We have it on this great homepage. 👍👍👍

A good friend has been reaching out to me at this time of year and my thought went to all on this site. We in posting and helping each other have become friends who support and advise when needed. A kind word on a build , a pat on the back for a job well done,an incouraging word if someone is not well. This holliday season is for most a time of joy and family. I'm so glad to be part of this family of friends. Keep being kind to one another reach out to a friend who my need a kind word.
