Question of the Day?

I the Model Boats magazine a few decades ago there was a model boat kit review by a friend of mine and one of the photos was on the cover.

The graphics designer decided that the picture looked better if laterally inverted (going the other way). However his nautical experience was zero as the starboard side now had a red light.

Also when colour was first introduced there were just 4 pages of colour in the middle. A photo of a model boat was spread across 2 pages with the front half in colour and the back half black and white!

Question of the Day?

Remember Port is a red wine so the question is . Is there any port left on board. And the red light is left & the Green light is on the right side. I us that so If I build a model & want navigation lights I us that quote . But if you buy them from a hobby store you cant go wrong.

Question of the Day?

Another dumb question. As already mentioned by Ross you have to assume you are standing on the boat looking forward.

Same old question which raises the same response. Are you in front of the boat facing the bow or on the boat facing the bow.🤔

Question of the Day?

Hi MouldBuilder,
There was a time I would have agreed with you on that.
I am now married a third time, believe it or not back to my first wife, this time round, yes we find we can both negotiate around things very well together now. I WAS the problem in my first marriage, along with the other women that I was associating with.
I am a one woman man now, The problem now is a shed full of still about 26 model boats, I am now slowly sell some off. I have sold 6 already.
We went to a boot fair once and she told me NO MODEL BOATS TODAY. okay I said, I looked at the hull of a 4ft Percassa MTB several times and the guy said the 4th time my final price is £10. She then said to me okay here you are and she gave ME the £10.
I love her to bit's. I will NEVER sell all of them and she knows that.
I have just bought a MacGregor II digimax and has turned out to never have been used. What a bargain that was, it is going to go in my Aerokits Sea Queen.

Question of the Day?

Another repeat Another repeat Another repeat Another repeat Another repeat ... YAWN🙄
Time to give the AI a rest? PERMANENTLY!! It has outstayed it's welcome.

Thinks- What's the retirement age for AI?
Thinks 2- How many times will AI make the same mistake before it learns?
(I think we've all suffered from absolutely nonsensical answers to searches for a specific type of product. Sometimes leading to a product range we never knew existed, much less what is it used for!! Careful with the word 'model' in your searches the results can be ... 😮🙈)
Thinks 3- Can it learn at all, from mistakes or otherwise?
Thinks 4- Or does it just plod on with it's original algorithm?
Thinks 5- If it CAN learn (as RI does), and modify it's algorithm accordingly, how long will it be before it decides that we (humans) are a redundant hindrance? Think of HAL9000!😉
Thinks 5a- How much AI is used to control our infrastructure: electricity (think of Tschernobyl 💥), water, traffic lights, defence systems (reprise Thinks 5)💥💥 ...?

AND NOW, For something completely different.
(NO fellow Monty Python fans NOT 'Number 3: A Larch) but-

And God said to John, come forth and you shall be granted eternal life.
But John came fifth and won a toaster.🤔

Why don't blind people skydive? Because it scares the crap out of their dogs!😮🙈

😎
And finally-
G'night All😴💤
