Historic ships on the Baltic coast.

We are currently in Eckernförde on the Baltic Sea, with many historic ships.
More pictures will follow if you like.

Very nice, thanks for sharing, Wolle.

I'd love to see more pictures (if you have them, of course) of that schooner; the one with the Admiralty-type anchor.
The details are very helpful to me.

Great photos! Love the one of the duty seagull! Seagulls are actually reincarnated Chief Petty Officers, hence their fearless and belligerent behavior...

Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately, I no longer have any pictures of the ships. We were only passing through Eckernförde. If we go there again on the return journey I will take more pictures. But I can't promise that. sorry.
Tomorrow we are travelling to Kappeln on the Schlei. A fjord off the Baltic Sea. There is also supposed to be a museum harbour there. I'll definitely take more pictures then.

Thanks to Wolle himself, without obligation, of course. The details of this type of ship are not only beautiful, but also very useful to naval modelers.

Hello, a few more pictures of fishing boats, a paddle steamer and an electricity distribution box painted with graffiti, which is becoming more and more popular here in Germany and is co-financed by the municipalities and cities.
More pictures are sure to follow.

Anyone know what type of vessels these are? Especially the last two?

Survey/diving support vessels? I see one of the last photos show a cage for lowering divers into and out of, the water...

Great Pictures!! Thanks for sharing
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Thank you for posting these photos Wolle. Provides an encyclopedia of details for anyone building or contemplating building a similar vessel.

I passed my driving test in a blue Morris 1000 Traveller which my mother had bought to learn to drive in and I later bought a white ex-police one fitted with an 1100cc engine which went well.

Have often thought about buying another one but no room in the garage.

I had a Morris Traveller as my first Company car back in 1972. It was maroon and had started with an 800cc engine but it was refurbished (a bit) when I had it and it had the 1.1Litre engine. I loved it especially the squeaking of the ash doors as the chassis 'moved' when driving.
When it was due to be changed out I wanted to buy it for my own use but there was a queue of senior managers ahead of me!

Apparently there was a murder nearby and a 'suspect' thought to be driving a traveller was being looked for! The Police arrived and the travel logs and whereabouts of all the drivers was traced. Turned out we were all innocent! But I had my suspicions.😊😊

On the area I looked after there was a small company that could sell you a ready cut wood kit to replace the wood on the car. Someone I vaguely new tried it but the condition of the metal underneath was so bad he gave up.

When our son was 5, I would drop him off at school. On returning the engine rarely started again, it was the terminal on the battery the connection had the usual silver foil space filler under the clamp of the lead. Knowing this I would open the bonnet and take the hammer I carried for the purpose and with one swipe hit the battery terminal. Lower the bonnet get in the car and she always started! My wife said all the local mums were most impressed!!!🤗

Now we have all this technology!!!

Just remembered I had a strange coincidence. I was telling the passengers there were a few Travellers all a mauve or maybe pink (I think) colour with Minor 1000000 logo on the back to celebrate the number that had been made. There was disbelief, and then seconds later one of them over took us!!
