Thank you all for the equipment suggestions. Plenty there for me to puzzle over how to make it at 1/6th scale.

Fleet: I would just like to point out that this is intended to be a working boat, not a gin palace. Bionic Bill is going to need all his energy and concentration to focus on rowing. I canโ€™t let him get distracted like that or He will never get the boat moving ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

I always took a paddle even when rowing - for close quarters work. The other really important items were a flask and a packet of sandwiches!

Sorry Martin, just realised you mentioned those earlier. One all!

I think the most useful thing to have on board would be a pair of oars and rowlocks. You might get somewhere then. Other quite useful things would be some rope, an anchor and a bailer.

    Cheers, Nerys

When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

I'm not sure how much rowing would get done with the girls on board dressed in bikini's.

Oh thank you Doug....Dash it wrong Bill !!
My apologies to everyone, when I looked again I realised that the original wording, while not swearing, was certainly in my view unsuitable for a family based forum.
The wording has now been changed to something more suitable.
I again apologise if this has caused any offence to anyone.

As my Rowboat nears completion (https://model-boats.com/blogs/68795) my thoughts are turning to the equipment Bionic Bill would need for a fishing trip. I have almost zero experience with rowing boats and fishing so Iโ€™m looking for suggestions.

    My thoughts so far:

    Anchor + rope
    Boat hook
    Fishing rod
    Catch net
