Motivation
Guilty as charged 😔
That's around the time I finished my Sea Scout restoration and update and published the Sea Trials, May 2018, which was all a lot of fun.
Shortly after that the wheels started to come off.
I realised I was suffering not cramps but COPD and arterial sclerosis in the legs and had to give up my league bowling.
Also the BREXIT disaster started to ramp up and causing us ex Pats considerable agro and time wasting with various authorities. That problem is heading towards a peak now thanks to Boris😠
My modelling attempts became somewhat half-hearted, resulting in three stalled restoration / conversion projects. But that didn't mean I'd forgotten how to do it or how to research.
I have done a few things in the meantime, mostly to help others - notably Taycol motor restorations and conversions and LED lighting circuits.
I also suddenly (and unexpectedly) became a Site Administrator/Moderator and started to spend more and more time playing Policeman and Ombudsman on the site. Seems to have worked - I hope.
I've wondered for a little while if I've acquired a reputation as 'the know-All who does nothing', which your comment seems to confirm. So now that I have a Deputy Ombudsman (Fleet Admiral Martin and his able assistant Admiral Ed) maybe it's time for me to retire and hand over to the next generation.
Was hoping to set Martin a record target of 25000 points and watching how long it took him to achieve it.😉 23000 will have to do, shouldn't take him long👍
Cheers, Doug 😎
