This has finally got to meet its full size "big sister" in the flesh at the Barmouth Lifeboat Stations Annual Open day on Sunday 30th July 2017.

Thames River Police Launch
Dave W
I hope this helps if not let me know & I will take more pictures
i was able to put a high deck in because of the size of the hull
it might be difficult to do this with the smaller hull take a look on SLEC they do the River Police Launch (last picture)it appears to to be risen at the front to take the motor etc

The Vintage Model Boat range are now being produced by SLEC Ltd. All our kits come with all parts cut by CNC router or laser, plus all the necesary strip wood is included, along with building instructions and plan.

The River Police Launch has been based on the old Veron Kit from the 1960's that we all loved at that time. The model is not a scale model but embraces the boat design of that era. The kit is now fully laser cut so all parts are pre-cut and most of the parts are now made out of high quality ply, so obtaining a good finish is easier to achieve. The model can be powered by a 7.2 volts standard buggy battery pack or ic power of .5-1.5 cc engines which is not in the kit, also we have not included any running fittings as we feel a lot of modellers will have or would like to choose for themselves, but we can supply these fittings if required.

It's looking nice Northumbrian. I have an original Veron that I found that is awaiting "refurbishment". I bought it because the model was the very first boat I ever built, as an 11 year old. I would like to see a pic of the power train and radio placement if possible. I have been trying to work out how to hide as much as possible, and I notice you have put a "high deck" in yours. Best of luck with the maiden voyage, Dave W.

Dirty Deeds
Some pics of my favorite build. Made on a barebones fiberglass hull. Runs with a NIHM 10.8 battery, a 540 brushed motor and a 30A controller. Pictures taken by the Olympia Park pond in Munich, Germany.

By the way, you may get some Viagra (10.8v Nihm battery) on Ebay. You will find them with either AA-type cells and C-type cells. I do prefer the C-type cells. Expect to pay around $45-50 USD. I bought some from a German store named "www.Conrad.de", but it seems they no longer offer them.

Firing Battleship at Wings & Wheels (UltraHD/4K)
Never seen an RC Battleship that actually simulates firing of its weapons. This was great to watch. Complimented by a submarine crash diving and surfacing!

    Hi Boaty, Apparently so! 😊
There was some discussion about this here a little while ago
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peasholm_Park
    "Events
    Naval Warfare event

The Naval Warfare event, Battle of Peasholm,[9] has been played out for half an hour three times a week during the summer season for over 80 years. The model boats used are mostly man powered earning the fleet the title of "The smallest manned navy in the world". All the boats were man powered, until 1929, when electricity was introduced, and now only the larger boats need to be steered by council employees. in the early days, the models were First World War battleships and a U-boat. Then, after the Second World War, the fleet was replaced with new vessels and the battle that was recreated was the Battle of the River Plate."

U37
Hello MBWs U37 is made from 3 recycled Go system butane gas cans, clockwork as usual and about half way through the build. Im also trying to embrace new technology but its not easy because im a Luddite. The boat will end up 22" long and will dynamic dive or surface run. Total build time so far around 40 hours.

Legal Limit
A couple of pics of one of my earliest builds. in the small side (about 19 inches long) and straight out of my imagination as I mess it up while trying to design a different boat. One of these fortunate accidents.😉
