Sea Hornet
While waiting for a second coat of epoxy to dry on my other model i enlarged some plans of an old Sea Hornet kit that I purchased a few days ago. I copied them 25% larger which gives length of 32 inches i then cut out the keel and bulkheads, i have only fitted them loosely for the picture.
Done a bit more to the hull and fitted the stringers and the bottom skins

    Hi Jim
I will be watching this built very close, as I have built one from original plans and also did the 25% as a future project.
Because of the very limited engine and radio hatch, I design them larger, but, you are on the right path. I installed a 28mm brushless motor, 3S 2650mah Lipo battery with a 2 blade 32mm brass prop. I don't think the 25% bigger a one would require any more power as it a rocket. My hatches run down the deck planking lines, the original hatches are only for show.
The engine starts from the front seat and finishes at the rear windscreen.
I made up the cockpit floors etc. before I skinned the sides, a lot easier, also the floor is split over the keel with the seats one piece.

Purchased on well known auction site. Boat very dusty/dirty but sound. it is from a Robbe kit that was around about 10 years ago and has timber decking, built-in auxiliary motor, navigation lights, etc. A deep clean followed by a re-paint of the superstructure, rub the decking down and varnish, followed by a complete rub down and re-paint of the hull brought her back to a fine yacht. She is about 40 inches in length and sails beautifully and has great presence on the water.

Gusty Cat (ex Lady Daphne)
I like Douglas Adams books. ..(and Terry Pratchett too)
But I was most attracted to Gusty Cat ...
So.. Model of thames barge , build according to modified plans of sb Lady Daphne in scale 1:28 (length cca 1 meter ).
it will be again a model with an auxiliary motor, staysail class.
I am currently grinding the laminate hull with several layers of putty.
It is an ungrateful job.

In contrast to all that amazing power stuff below here is a very tranquil and sedate picture of my A class yacht in light breeze at Ilfracombe pond recently. Les Breame

Wonderful 👍 How about some musical underlay - 'I am sailing' Rod Stewart ?? 😉
Ah! Ilfracombe, lovely country. Used to pop down there from Weston Supermare in my youth.

Offshore RC powerboat racing (Southampton, UK)
Have to admit that this is not something I was aware of until very recently...but in my quest to broaden my YouTube channel to all things RC I found the Offshore Model Racing Association (OMRA). I contacted them and they invited me down to their most recent racing event in Southampton. Despite the bumpy conditions there was some close racing and I think I captured the flavour of what it was all about.

These E class boats are normally 65" but can go up to 85" (but are apparently rare because they take 2-3 people to launch). Engines in the 65" are typically 30cc Zenoah or similar.

Paul Devlin's Crash Tender
By way of a contrast I found some video from 2014 at the St Helens Open Day.
Beautiful scale model Crash tender operating at some speed.
Nostalgic or wot.
Great model Paul and well sailed
