This is modelled from the interceptor42 range by Safehaven Marine. This is my first full build of a model, having only done restorations previously.
Model length is some 42 inch, beam of 12 inch. (106cm x 31cm)
Power is by twin E-Max BL2826 Brushless motors and 1, 80amp speed controller running on 2 NiMH 7.2 volts.
Fitted with Action electronics Police siren, and with detailed rotating blue lights and searchlights.
I sail this at Cold Knap Lake Barry Vale of Glamorgan, and I am the Founding member of the Vale Of Glamorgan Model Boat Club.
Also included is my Portland Pilot interceptor 42 which was the original prototype from Models by Design which I purchased and added lighting etc, this runs on Brushless motor running on 12Volt lead acid.

It won best in show in the navy boat section at our club due to the detail and the figures so can't be bad
She is not mega fast but sails well as you can see from the video.
- JeremyBBMaster SeamanLooks great and beautifully finished 😊 . I am currently building the 34.5" Lesro model of this boat and would very much like to see some photos of your model. it would provide me with an excellent guide as to how it should look in detail. Would it be possible for you to send these to me by email or post them on the site?Looks great and beautifully finished 😊 . It's in 1/16 scale and is four foot long. it's a complete scratch built hull using plastic sign bord.
The hull was built by Nick Rigby from our club in Bury.
All the rest of the detail has been done by his friend.
At the Monment she has the props installed but no motors.
I will be fitting her out with a couple of 900kv brushless motors and a couple of 90amp esc's all water cooled.plus two 11.1volt 5000ma lipo's in parallel to give a long run time. Hope you like the pictures!

- Dave MVice AdmiralAs a regular traveller on the Woodchurch I would suggest your model is a very realistic representation. Paint wise the real boat was far from clean or well painted and in places the rust was all to evident. As a regular traveller on the Woodchurch I would suggest your model is a very realistic representation. It was a well loved and trusty vessel and I am sure I am not alone in having many happy memories of cross river trips on her and her sister ferries.
