Morning Rockbag.
I personally think your mini mist is spot on for your model. For its size it is producing a good head of vapor!! As you know the vapor will fall to the deck as water vapor is heavier than air. When you have her on the pond the ahead motion and breeze will dissipate the vapor. I use both mist and oil variations depending on type of boat. I attach a video of one of my misters which as you can see shows the vapor falling (as it does)but once at sea it’s fine. On the clip shown I do have a fairly strong fan to help it flow. Great model and mini mister 👍👍👀 Regards Bill.

Hmmm!
I'm afraid I can't give this vid a Like coz it confirms my suspicions and reservations about Mist 'Smoke' units using water. The 'cold' mist just seems to crawl out of the funnel and flops down to the deck. Not very realistic and I'm sure that the deck hands would be constantly complaining and reporting to their respective Unions😠. I'll stick with my heated oil smokers, despite minor aggros like oil residue on deck (adds to the weathering😁). The heat driving the smoke up into the air and better simulating the Real-macoy. Sorry Rockbag😌. Otherwise I really really like your superb build. A standard to aspire to. Looking forward to seeing her on the wet stuff and your next build All the best, Doug 😎 ▲

The steam/smoke generator didn’t have a manufacturers make name.
I bought it from Modelboatbits with a remote switch operated via receiver and a spare switch on my transmitter.

Making a lovely job on her, very smart but can I suggest that you should alter the water line.. mine was like yours but nearly lost her on choppy water so lifted her up a bit, now fine
