When to give up

Great news, I am delighted for you and such a quick settlement, so soon be modelling again.
I am sure you don’t need reminding but I will nevertheless mention a safe place for flammable liquids.
Look forward to seeing your new setup.

When to give up

Sorry to hear about your loss Stephen, but glad to learn that you are already planning new sheds etc. Whilst you may not be able to replicate the things you have lost you will have the memories, and perhaps photographs.
Good luck with the new builds 😉

When to give up

Stephen,
I can feel your pain.
Way in the past I had a similar thing happen only I did not have insurance to cover the damage. I lost all my shop equipment and tools plus some things I had built.
It took me years to build up my tools and equipment again. I did learn to carry more insurance though.
It can certainly be disheartening but you will overcome the shock eventually.
For some years afterwards I would find myself looking for a particular item or tool and finally remember it was lost in the fire!
I wish you a good recovery from your loss.

When to give up

I am going for 14 x10 thats the biggest I can go with more concrete on the base and a separate block built 6x8 for spraying and then the flammable stuff in a metal fireproof box

When to give up

Well lets see 2 feet more each way to 14 x 12 gives a third more area and a mini shed outside for the dangerous stuff. Sounds very sensible to me.

Its a start

When to give up

one point that came out of it was the Fire Brigade said no one ever checks there home extinguisher had I had a CO2 one i most likely would have put it out and luck I had on gas or petrol in that shed and it was something we shoud all do

When to give up

That's a real b****r! I look on it as permission to start on replacement models with probably no opposition.

Did you lose the shed? Everyone needs a bigger shed.

When to give up

Accidents will and do happen to all of us at some point.
Glad nobody was hurt, stuff can be replaced.
I suppose I'm lucky being able to spread my fleet storage between:- attic, garage, bedroom, spare room and trailer.
I'd love to keep it all in one place but just haven't got a single building big enough.
Insurance policy covers it all inside my boundary thank god.
Cheers Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.

Sorry to hear this Stephen, by the sounds of this, fortunately no one was hurt and with time you may get the chance and the taste to start building again. Take it easy buddy for now

When to give up

Stephen, that’s a real shame, very sorry to read that. On the plus side, no-one was hurt and you had an extinguisher. Have to admit I looked around for mine - covered in dust and need checking, also need to be more accessible!)

When to give up

Whatever, don`t give up, look at it as a blessing a new fresh start with no decisions necessary on what to throw away as its cluttering the workroom, its been done for you.
I think in a sad way there are several of us could do with some serious de cluttering and a new beginning.
Take care and the best for the future ChrisG
