Ho Ho Ho!
Trust everyone has recovered or is recovering from their various Christmas nosh ups😋
and that Santa fulfilled your wishes🎁🎁🎁 and that all Dad & Granddad Santas fulfilled all their kiddy winky's
wishes😉 Remember; "It is better to give than receive"😉 (What nit said that?🙄)
Here's hoping for a much better year for all in 2021 than the 'annus horribilis' (all in UK will know who coined that!) we have all just suffered. Only four days to go👍 hang in there folks😊
Cheers All, Doug 😎
PS I also played Santa once in a while, my own beard wasn't quite long enough though😁
I tried to avoid the paparazzi, didn't work!☹️

Christmas

Santa brought snow this morning along with a couple of catnip toys for the furry crew. They're enjoying them as I hope all of you are enjoying this special day with your family and all our world-wide shipmates. Be well and God bless.

Christmas

Well guys, we've had the Chrissy lunch about 11hrs ago and I have to admit, we all needed a lie down afterwards due to being completely cream puffed. I have temporarily taken on the shape of a super-yacht fender with apendages and added a few kilos, so will need to do a few laps of the beach tomorrow (or maybe the next day) to deflate.

We are lucky down here being the first in the world (Gisbourne to be fair) to see the sun, and spoiler alert, - it's still there and nothings changed today!👍 It's 11.45 pm and I think it's almost time for another lie down and a cup of tea. Heard Santa had a problem with metal fatigue in his sleigh runners, so some areas may be experiencing delays. China Santa still hasn't turned up down here, so I think he's probably held up in traffic😁 (either that, or the little green screaming skull from Sweden has forced him to ship his reindeer over to cut down on greenhouse gasses😂)

Eat up lads and ladesses, we need to keep the strength up to fight the chinflu, (well that's my story and I'm sticking to it😁)

Christmas

Patience Martin, He'll turn up🤞
Santa must have been delayed by the damn curfews around the world!
To beat our curfew Gisela Santa came yesterday (according to German tradition!) and had, amongst other goodies, a very nice malt whisky in her sack😋😋
Model Santa should turn up next week, I've ordered some paints and materials AND a new 1/72 scale kit of a WW1 submarine! I'm a glutton for punishment😁
Off to G's shortly for our Peking Duck lunch.😋😋 Back tomorrow or Sunday, staying over to beat the curfew.😉
Stay safe all and enjoy Christmas as best you can in these lousy circumstances👍
All the best, Doug 😎

Christmas

I've started Christmas in the way that I hope it will carry on. It's 4am Christmas morning and I have spent the last few hours working on the decks and wheelhouse of the barge and starting on the deck supports for the LST. Might even get round to some photos if I can carry on like this.

Cheers, Nerys

Christmas

I would also like to wish all of the members of the site and their families, a Very Happy Christmas. I have two Christmases this year as my Hungarian wife celebrates today and I tomorrow. Our deal is that she cooks Hungarian today and I will cook the English traditional roast tomorrow. I have put the ambulance service on standby for tomorrow afternoon.😁
Best wishes to all. Peter and Zsuzsanna.🎁

Christmas

Merry Xmas to everyone on MBW and their families from down here in the antipodes. We are thinking of everyone in the northern hemisphere and elsewhere where the chinflu is at its' worst. Still a lot of Kiwis stranded round the world who are naturally a concern also. It will eventually slow down if people are sensible/responsible, and perhaps the ones who aren't will finally get the picture and play the game (once a few of them get it and spread the word that it can be nasty).

This site has been a great source of ideas, techniques, friendly like minded people and humour, not to mention some great modelling skills on show, (certainly more entertaining than TV most days) Thanks to Stephen especially for providing the site as well. I hope everyone has a great and safe Xmas and new year and that everyone keeps positive during this bad patch in our lives. Concentrate on staying safe, thinking of the good stuff, and not letting the virus take over your minds (which can be just as destructive)

All the best

Christmas

May I wish all Model Boat Navy crew members a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous NewYear, that is, if the government and covid will allow such things. We've all had a pretty miserable year and at the moment things look bleak for the next few weeks, but, hey, let's try to look on the bright side. The vaccine works and is dished out in record time, the new variant disappears as quickly as it arrived, all the covid graphs spiral down to zero, the hospitality industry, travel, retail and manufacturing, all greatly damaged by the Lockdown find a new life, everyone can travel freely and perhaps there'll be a sensible Brexit deal. All, hopefully achievable and who knows, we might even see flights of flying pigs.
Best wishes to everyone and their kith and kin.
