Autumn 2021

Filmed in Autumn 2021 with members of the Buxton Model Boat Club.
Using Gopro, FPV Camera and Video Monitor to assist "Getting the shot in frame from different angles" - "Not easy trying do do everything at the same time " !. - Just For Fun !

Crewe and District Model Boat Club

Nice calm day at Boundary Park to-day so no yachts but a nice large pleasure cruiser and a small skimmer with attached paraglider finally flying round the lake.

Harry uses a helper to launch the paraglider once the skimmer approaches sufficient speed. This was the first time a successful flight was achieved and the weather was just right with little or no wind. The drag from the paraglider is high and Harry intends to put a larger motor to increase the power. Whilst the wind a water level was low research indicates that the wind strength is strongest at about 6 - 10ft above water and that is where the paraglider is flying.

Nice job with the video Phil, especially liked the 'over the rail' shots of the deck and gear. Graham's done a brilliant job on her, and she looks to be sailing very nicely.

Good to see the boat with Graham there, gives an idea of scale. Quite a bit larger than I imagined but should handle the bigger stuff. Looks so realistic in the bow close-ups.
