Although the Moonbeam was a classic looking yacht, it was certainly over canvas. Therefore I decided to re-rig it with a Nottingham J class second set of sails. It seems well balanced and still looks like a classic yacht. The video is from its first sail.

December 1st 2022 . - Getting colder now with heavy mist early in the mornings. A good day to try another set of slightly bigger high aspect sails.
Still very light wind but just managing to get from A to B.

Cool, calm early late November morning. Very light wind expected to increase slightly but perfect for my "Slim Nip" which is a modified Wee Nip. Just pop in the extended mast with high aspect sail - and enjoy :-

Having frequently sailed up the Chesapeake Bay to Baltimore many years ago, this little beauty holds many memories.
The skipjack is a traditional fishing boat used on the Chesapeake Bay for oyster dredging.
This model was filmed on my recent visit to Portsmouth, it was great to meet with its owner Peter, who is a member of the Hayling Island Model Boat Club.

This was the last sailing at Spencer's in Burlington in November 2022 My friend was running his TSS Beaverford real ship built 1928 was sunk 1940.was run by Canadian Pacific Steamship line. I liked the steam coming out of stack P/S Pool has now been drain & will soon will be a winter skating rink

Just for fun ! - Some old skeletons come out of the cupboard from time to time - it don`t have to have to be pretty - it just needs to work and inspire !!!

Held this year on 30th of October 2022, the "Venetian Night Sailing" is an annual event which is always popular amongst Buxton Model Boat Club members and the local community.

Very sorry our local member Graham93 couldn`t be with us due to unforeseen circumstances.

Graham, look forward to seeing you back soon with "Bill & Ben" and maybe "Kayak Kev" !!!.

Just a fun project to use up some old radio gear , single for steering only, or two channel if you want to include a sail winch.
Great for when the pond is full of weed - Also if no wind , stick a motor on the front or back !.
Just have fun !

Managed to capture some video of Brian Clewes' live steam TID tug on the lake this Wednesday 19 October. First chance for a proper sail and a bit more ballast needed.
