Weed Problems ?
Are other clubs suffering ???

Local BMBC member Mark did a great job clearing a large amount of weed from the main lake to allow the full size pedal boats and rowing boats to operate . Unfortunately further light "wispy" weed is still dethatching and presenting a problem for most of our members model boats.
Until the situation improves , we will be sailing at the Fountain Lake.
Thanks Mark for all your efforts !.

INGA IV - Luxury Ketch
Believed to be from Revell Models , " INGA IV " is a model Ketch , owned and sailed here by Martin Ward of the Hayling Island Model Boat Club.

RCSailing is just for fun, no gain. Other than sharing photos and videos relating to Buxton Model Boat Club activities, from time to time its nice to "showcase" models from other clubs and members as seen here with the link between BMBC & HIMBC - all sharing the common interest in model boats and the "Model Boat Website".

Camera Boat No. 5
Camera Boat 5 uses another simple "pontoon" design with 90
rotating motor and fan unit with rudder which was added later. Gopro was mounted on rotating servo which gives 360
vision.
Camera operated with phone using Gopro App.
Regarding filming techniques etc. - Still plenty of issues to improve and overcome along the learning curve !.

Mni Tnx Graham for being there with "Bill & Ben" and Jon G7NFK for all your previous help and support since my stroke.

    Hi Gary,

You might have something there! I think his expression probably has more to do with the threaded rod glued into his nether regions which attaches him to the thwart! 😂🤣

That is lovely. I built mine recently but opted for clear coat to make it interesting at shows. A picture from the maiden voyage

That planked hull is a work of art, and can be appreciated for what it is and the work that went into it. Painting is for hiding mistakes and filler. Regards.

I like your boat a lot you have made a really good job of putting it together and it sails rather well also. But I am afraid that I must correct your comment if the fact it is a North Sea Drifter, and has never pulled a trawl net in its life to date. The nets were paid out over the side and could be a mile long in length, the net hung like a curtain with floats on the top, and the herring were caught by the gills and unable to escape. I also have the Mountfleet Danny Boy and will enclose a photo. Regards, Gary

I should have mentioned it has a gas-fired steam engine, and in order to obtain access the super-structure and the fish hold lifts off along with a large piece of the decking. Regards, Gary.
