Ah! Smoke generators. (I was trained on real military smoke generators that put out smoke for miles.) The ideal one for steamers would be blackish smoke that would slow dissipate. But we can't make that happen. There are some pretty good ones built for models. The Heng Long generators for RC tanks aren't that great. I know as I have several. I did see a pretty good one at the last tank meet. Unfortunately, the new member left before I got the chance to ask him about it. Hopefully I can catch him at the next meet.

Smoke generator - question
Hi maybe not boat related ( but could well apply) I wonder if anyone has any advice on make or buying one. I've seen a few of those henglong tanks versions but maybe need a little more smoke from my model (1/6th RSO Steyr) I need it to pipe into my exhaust via a tube thats 12 inches long.. Not sure if those small china ones would do it without increasing blower rate as I believe that burns the coil out quicker from what I've read up to now.
Not and expert but bloody keen
