Robbe kit around 20 years old saved from a junk shop had dry rot in deck.re-planked, re-painted sails well. 😊

30+ years wandering around the world to various navies and shipyards.
Including intermarine and Fincantieri in italy. Two of the most prolific builders of fast ferries, huge cruise ships. As well as all sorts of naval vessels from fast patrol boats to ski-ramp aircraft carriers. Similar to the old RN invincible class.
Somewhere in my vast and dusty archive I have the GAs and specs for a new (then!) fast ferry design from intermarine.
Used to like visiting these two; intermarine in Sarsana, just south of La Spezia at the south end of Cince Terra and north end of Tuscany and just round the corner from the Carrera marble quarries.
(That's where the name comes from, not Porsche or the model race cars😉) Also Fincantieri in Genoa further north. Lunches and dinners were good 😜 Cheers Doug 😎

They look cracking places to sail yachts or motor boats to your hearts content. We have to fight for any piece of water round here with the anglers, golf courses, and private lakes.

Throstle is a Draginforce65 yacht I am loving getting used to sailing her...discovering how she handles and improving my skills. Everyone I meet is so friendly too at the Norwich Boat club. Eating Park boating lake is a fabulous place... you must try it. I promise you will not be disappointed. Great relaxing cafe in the park too! Boing boing Baggies! 👍

My friend, Ewald Bengel, and I both have M12 class sailboats; 42" length, weighing 16+lbs, designed for sailing in weedy ponds or lakes. We took them to his cottage and sailed them in deep water on Oak Lake north of Havelock, Ontario, Canada. A Great afternoon of sailing!
