I was going for the actual correct answer, brain was activated, target allocation was acquired, calculations worked out for wind velocity and direction, controlled my breathing, relaxed and comfortable, rechecked my proposed answer for correct selection, then carefully placed my index finger on the answer, touched " are you sure " and got the wrong answer......i realised i had had an issue and totally missed my proposed aiming point...

with regard to today's question, I associate the word shipwreck with the likes of storm seas, hurricane winds, and running aground on rocks or whatever. The USS Indianapolis was first bombed by the Japanese, then after being repaired was hit by two torpedoes and sank, with a great loss of life. Mind I could be wrong of course as I usually am with the quiz questions so far, and yesterday's was no exception to this rule I opted for WIND. Regards, Gary.

Arrived at the 'correct' (🙄) answer by simple elimination, but a Mull is not a sea passage but a hill or promontory, as in the southern tip of of Kintyre (Mull of Kintyre) which is the closest point to Northern Ireland. But I've never heard of a 'Straight of Kintyre' which would make more sense. And yes, I have travelled the west coast of Scotland and the coast of Northern Ireland from Belfast to Londonderry. Giant's Causeway is phenomenal😉

Hi all, I have to report a success and have transferred all my address book names into the new address book! I am not sure how but there was an email involved!
I can relax now just got to sort out how to get my second email account on there as well.
Sundays back in the day were rest days the shops were shut hymns were sung and you usually got a good lunch.
Where did it all go? I used to sing in the choir but am now relegated to the shower. We used to go for a walk after lunch with the 2 children (whether they liked it or not) or perhaps a morning sail of a boat if not required for the choir.
I think this all fits in with Question of the day? I suppose we all have to answer the Q of the D first before we can read the posts.

I firmly believe the majority of man kind will be unemployed because of all this computer stuff. Yes yes yes it has it’s places…..BUT hearing a human answer a company phone and directing you to the correct department……. a human cashier….. etc…. But I am tired of people saying there are no jobs

I don't know! When the machines start talking to you who or what is real? I regularly have talks with the EDF robot who is mad. Keeps wanting to call me Roy, I don't know why as he is just a badly assembled algorithm.
When eventually and finally EDF revealed they had humans, they sorted out my Smart Gas meter. Now the robot can have as long a chat with my meters as they like.
The humans who arrived were really nice I expect the robots hold members of the family as hostages, to encourage good behaviour? It took over 2 years for the work to be done, which is why I thought I was in some Kafkaesque universe alone with a computer.
Did I ever tell you I hate computers? I spent my working life going out to look at broken ones, sometimes sitting up all night with them!
During that time I also had to encourage other guys to go out and do what I did. They did not deserve that but the company used to screw money out of these computer owners and in my chagrin I took the money they offered to feed my own wife and children.
Then when you get thrown out everyone needs a computer and need to be able to type just to keep up. I have to get past my anti conditioning just like that!

Hello Bill nice to have someone understand! They have changed my pills, after a short time in an Australian hospital they determined that my imminent demise was being speeded up by the NHS pills prescribed.

Hello Bill nice to have someone understand! They have changed my pills, after a short time in an Australian hospital they determined that my imminent demise was being speeded up by the NHS pills prescribed.

The question is….”Have we had the question previously”,or are we living in a parallel universe.
Is there another you or I out there pondering the same question in a different dimension?
Looking on the bright side,if we have the same question twice will I answer it correctly second time round if I answered incorrectly on the first occasion,or vice versa.
I think I better stop now and go and take my tablets 😂😂

Hi Admiral I know what you mean, sometimes whole days repeat themselves for me. So the odd question like this is just a passing curiosity.
I often think "Why are we here"? Is there any reality at all? Are all of you an algorithm designed to keep me entertained
When we ask these questions we also have to consider whether we can cope with the answers, should they ever arise?
