Jet powered ski boat
I recently bought a couple of cheap jet drive units, about Β£15 each and was wondering what to do with them. A friend suggested i put one in my ski boat, so i shoe horned both of them in.
sorry about the video, i can't turn it round.

π Battery driven motors

Hi Chris, you are bang on, the 600 is a bit too powerful. The slipper launch is a fairly slow river boat, not made for racing. I recommend a 500 size brushed motor as a good option. keep the battery voltage to 6v -7.4v

Great to see the younger generation getting involved. This was exactly my idea when i started to produce the small simple kits. Well done.

I do have 3d printed masts and did include them in the kit but people said they liked to varnish a wooden mast rather than paint the plastic to look like wood. I will include both from now on. If any body wants a plastic mast just email me. Paul HAKits

I have built a couple of these boats many years ago, the kit uses a plastic hull so I don't think the plans have any hull lines or formers. I will try and find them and check if you wish.

Well my posting on getting the correct size flag has stirred a hornets nest. When i photographed to flags they were the correct way up and they are correct in my file but when i posted them they flipped upside down, anybody know why?
anyway here is the flag on its staff.

Hello, just a little tip for people looking for realistic union flags. I needed a large-ish flag for my slipper launch, at 1/8 scale it needed to be about 4" the larges i could fine in the model shop was about 2" and cost about Β£4.50. I bought it as there was nothing else. I then looked on line and after several searches found small polyester waving flags. The union flag was twice the size I needed, but the seller also sold an Australian flag. so i bought that Β£2.99 and cut the union flag from it. Perfectπ

Hello Peter, I have a boxford lathe i would like to get rid of. It is one i liberated from a school when i worked there, it has a 3 phase motor and could do with a bit of a tidy up. I gave a donation of Β£100 so if i can get the same, i will be happy. Its in the Manchester area.

π CNC boat kits...?

This all sounds very familiar, I don't want to knock your project but be careful. I have experiance of cnc routers and laser cutters, laser cutters put no pressure on the material, its amazing how much side load a milling cutter puts on the material and can rip pieces out of the sheet. In the past i put strips of masking tape on the back of the material then held it down with double sided tape, this will hold pieces in place ( most of the time) Good luck

It is not a huntsman of any type as they had an aft cabin. The Huntress and swordsman had open deck at the stern. there have been lots of kits and plans of this type, what is the length?
