Dear All.
To preserve our Mental Health and Wellbeing we have taken a week away in Jersey.(Having naturally fully complied and adhering to both UK and Jersey Govt travel rules and regulations at all times.)
Nice to get away for a break.
Today for the RNLI fanatics amongst you I managed to get these pictures of the St Helier boats which may assist you in any building plans.
Take care and stay safe all.
Regards Bill

That was after my time Doug, but in latter years I heard the phrase 'Stop Children' being used rather differently and they were referred to as 'contraceptive ladies'.

Remember the Lollipop Ladies Nerys?
The nice (sometimes🙄) ladies with the 'Stop Children' (😮) signs who used to help us kiddywinkies across the road on the way to school way back then.

Lollipop, in the hospital it's a plastic stick with a bit of foam on the end wettened and used for cleaning skin before applying a dressing.

To be honest I don’t think I’ve heard the term lollipop since I was a kid, and I’m 60. I think, in this part of the country at least, it went out of favor.

Hi Bill ,
here in SA a sucker is usually either a sweet on a stick or the con mans victim - not sure which you were referring to. Perhaps too many Carry On movies in your youth ............

Having said that will remove tongue from cheek...........

Lieutenant Commander Scratchbuilder I think we need to turn a blind for a while as it is good to see things are getting a little better and the sun is out here so it will give all ranks the chance to wet there hulls.

Stay safe Guys.

There seems to be a serious outbreak of Hilarious moral amongst the troops at this moment in time.
Perhaps it’s the sun that is muddling minds.
We need to ensure that the troops are under control and are not too happy.
They will need more rations and possibly ask for the reintroduction of the Rum Tot......God forbid !!!!🥃

Hi Guys,
My wife and i have just had our second Covid Jab today.
I left the Doctors surgery with a big smile on my face as i thought it was very funny.
I felt as if i was five again because as the needle went in, the lady that was giving me the jab said "Thats a good boy"

Poor old Aggie Westons, I do have good memories of that establishment, sailors could get a room there for a few shillings a night to escape from naval discipline, they could rent lockers there to keep civvy clothes so that they could have time out of their uniforms. Decent meal were available for a pittance. And if you wanted a snack, their meat pies were lovely.
Do you know what happened to the Fleet Club and the Salvation Army?

Evening Nerys.
Let’s hope they all soon get the vaccination.
I read with interest that the converted Aggie Weston sailors rest in Devonport that we have previously discussed with fond memories has been condemned because of the type of cladding applied to the wall on the new social housing building it has been converted into.
What’s it coming too.

My 76 year old sister, in France, is having her FIRST jab next week and some members of her family have no idea when they will be getting their's, and that is in France, a first world European country.

How wonderful to be talking second doses. When this pandemic started the thoughts were it may be years before we had a vaccine. I can book my second dose Mon June 7. Let's hope for all to be able to get vaccinated in the world.

Hi Cash,
I had no problems at all with either jab, but some people do have anything from feeling ill, to having slight headaches. By the time you read this you'll probably have found out.

Hi Guys,

It looks like we have about five Cruise Ship now in Southampton's Port,
They have been arriving over the last few days.
It is good news for Southampton as they are being stocked ready for there journeys.
Altho they will be traveling with only a third of there passenger capacity.
Good news indeed for employment and job retention.

If any of you guys are booked up for a cruise soon on any of these ships then please be careful, take all necessary precautions with this nasty Virus and stay safe.

We in Ontario are still in lock down until June 2 . I do see hope but the Indian variant scares me as it travels much quicker and they are in much trouble.
In my mind if the world is not protected then we should all be wary of letting our guard down.
Please all stay safe

Ladies and Gentlemen.
All being well we will soon be able to start our visits to the “Pond” to sail our works of wonders that we have been slaving over during Lockdown.
That’s if things don’t change with the uncertainty of the latest Indian variant starting to take hold.
I just hope that we escape the brunt of it.
Please remember that we are here if you need any help in anyway.
Regards Bill 👍
