- Cpt-PugwashMidshipman"Any Details on the Turbine?
Trev"
Trev.. This is an elderly Wren 54 configured as a 2 stage drive (ie. the turbine is a gas generator which drives a turbine driven gearbox). You can see the setup in the Video of the mechanics running.

You created a very beutiful model and according to the size, I can imagen it took lots of patience to maker her r/c.
Adrian used drawings of "Flying Scotsman" for inspiration, but is not a faithful reproduction, although "Old Trafford" is also quite similar .
This was the maiden voyage so plenty more work to be done on detail and ballast etc.as the boat still sits a bit low in the water.
For reference see :- http://tynetugs.co.uk/

RCSailing is just for fun, no gain. Other than sharing photos and videos relating to Buxton Model Boat Club activities, from time to time its nice to "showcase" models from other clubs and members as seen here with the link between BMBC & HIMBC - all sharing the common interest in model boats and the "Model Boat Website".

- cdnfurballWarrant OfficerSo ah, is this thing mobile ? Towable ? Open the door and window, drag it down the road and all that pesky sawdust and debris would be GONE !
Actually, you’ve done a great job on it…. Now a mini bar fridge and music is all that’s left.. - chugalone100Rear AdmiralGreat job

After several years of being built without rigging, our cleaning lady knocked it off the base to the floor. It was a total disaster, 3 years after that, I decided to refurbished it and do the rigging with the help of this book.
- chugalone100Rear AdmiralMaybe you guys have heard of the Imai (Japanese company out of production), but you can still purchase the model Through:
